About us
Our Story
In 1989, the foundation for B GREEN A/S was laid.
Erik Pedersen, along with Karsten Hansen, started the company Callapor A/S. The original purpose of the company was to produce calla lily bulbs in Portugal, where a Danish gardener was hired to oversee production. The Danish gardener still lives in Portugal, where he is married and has two children. However, the company no longer produces calla lily bulbs and has since changed its name to B GREEN by Callapor A/S.
Alongside the production of calla lily bulbs, Erik Pedersen began importing clay pots, and for many years he supplied clay pots to Danish gardeners. In 2004, Birgitte Hougaard was hired to expand the wholesale sales of pots. That same year, the company participated in the Formland trade fair for the first time. Slowly but surely, B GREEN expanded its customer base. In 2009, it also participated in the Formex fair in Stockholm, and in 2011, B GREEN was present at the Lillestrøm fair in Norway.
Today, B GREEN A/S participates in many trade fairs each year. See our trade fair calendar here.
Our goal is to deliver quality products that you won’t find everywhere at reasonable prices. Customer service is highly valued. As a retailer, you can easily order products from our webshop 24/7, and we are always available by phone during office hours.
Genuine Patina
B GREEN’s assortment is primarily rustic.
The range of genuinely patinated pots is what sparked the beginning and defines B GREEN. The collection is continually expanding, and B GREEN A/S is now Europe’s largest provider of unique, patinated pots. The collections in glazed, iron, zinc, terracotta, and raw cement are all well-regarded and popular in many homes and gardens.
In recent years, the assortment has been expanded with an exciting vintage series. This consists of genuine vintage items, meaning that they are unique products that have been found and traded in small quantities. They have often been used in production contexts. Since we receive only a few items from the same source, these are limited editions that vary in size and wear.
Responsibility
B GREEN takes responsibility and actively works with environmental issues in a constant process.
There is a strong focus on the conditions under which the products are produced. Suppliers and producers are visited several times a year to ensure an optimal understanding of and collaboration on requirements for working conditions.
B GREEN also supports an orphanage in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. Read more about the support and other social initiatives further down the page.

Room for the heart
In our purchasing, we always strive to buy from smaller producers, such as small family-run businesses, to support the local community as much as possible. We visit our suppliers several times a year to ensure that working conditions are acceptable, that there is no child labor, and that we can vouch for the production of the goods we offer our customers.
B GREEN supports the Vinh Long Orphanage, which we visit at least once a year.
A large part of our products comes from Vietnam, where there is significant poverty, especially in rural areas and the Mekong Delta. Orphanages and other social initiatives are highly dependent on donations and volunteer work.
At B GREEN, it comes naturally to help and support this work. In consultation with our local agent, we have chosen not to give money but rather goods, which we help purchase locally. This way, we ensure that our help directly benefits the children.
B GREEN actively works with CSR, and in recent years we have supported Knæk Cancer.

Cancer affects every third Dane and makes everyone else a relative. We all, in one way or another and at some point in our lives, come into contact with cancer—a disease that costs 42 Danes their lives every day.
Today, approximately 258,000 Danes are living with a cancer diagnosis. The good news is that the majority survive cancer. But we want to raise the bar a little higher. Fewer should get cancer, and more should survive.
A Collective Effort to Beat Cancer
Knæk Cancer is an ambitious headline. Nevertheless, it is the goal that TV 2 and the Danish Cancer Society have set. Not alone, but together with the Danish people, because cancer is a common issue that requires a collective effort. We cannot perform miracles—but we will try.
That is why a whole week is dedicated to two things: Information and fundraising. Information about disease and healing, about research and patients, about death and, not least, about life. In a series of programs on TV 2, there will be a focus on cancer, and along the way, money will be quizzed, danced, and raised for the Danish Cancer Society. It all culminates in a large fundraising show on TV 2.
Knæk Cancer is heartfelt action and hope for new ways to combat cancer. Read more about Knæk Cancer here.
